Do players need to be members of the uw gamers club to enter? And can non-uw students enter as well?

I should also mention that the matchings are done based on your win loss record. So, for each round, you will be matched with someone that has a similar record as yours.

Basically what it boils down to is, you’re in until you lose three times. That way, you’re guaranteed three matches.

The matches are one on one with a stock of FIVE lives. There’s no time limit on the matches.

We’re not able to speculate how long the tournament will last because we are not sure how many people will sign up. As of right now, there are ~33 people signed up, but we are expecting more to show up on the actual day. To give you an idea of the time, last term we had 65 competitors and the entire tournament (right to the end of the final match) took about 5 hours. We expect this time to be shortened this time around as we will have less down time between rounds.

Can you please elaborate on the “Round Robin” format? Will it be one on one, or a four player free for all melee? How long do you expect the tournament to last?
